BENEFITS OF MY COACHINg
Build On Your Strengths
While we are hardwired to focus on weaknesses my coaching takes a different and more positive approach. It is 'strengths' based meaning the focus is on building on what you can already do and 'adding' to your performance. Weaknesses are not ignored but skills that are already there can be improved and developed giving you, the learner, greater confidence and ultimately more enjoyment.
Develop Your Performance Holistically
Traditional ski instruction tends to weight technique above everything else! My coaching is about holistic performance development meaning that technique, tactics and mental skills are given attention and based around individual needs and goals.
Find Flow More Often
Flow is a mental state and an altered state of consciousness. It is a very desirable state for many reasons not least because it is often the gateway to optimal skiing performance. Flow is immersive meaning that you will find it easier to stay focused on the task resulting in quicker and more robust learning and a real sense of satisfaction.

More about my approach
My ski coaching is different! Instead of adopting a deficit approach where all the focus is on your weaknesses, I focus on your strengths, the things you do well, sharpening those skills to make your performance even better. That does not mean I ignore your weaknesses but rather find 'balance' between improving strengths and addressing weaknesses where necessary. Furthermore, I take an holistic approach to performance development with tactics and mental skills being just as important as technique.
